Keith Robinson House, VIC
Keith Robinson House, a brand new home in Carrum Downs will be a safe space for children and parents to rebuild their lives.
Keith Robinson was a founding member of the VHF way back in 1987, the International Year of Shelter for the Homeless. Keith remained active with the VHF until only recent years but he still keeps informed of the efforts of the charity.
Keith entered the building industry in 1948 and in the early 1950s joined the newly formed Builders and Allied Trades Association which was later to become HIA. Keith is considered a founding father of the HIA, he served as State and National President, was awarded a life membership in 1989 and in 2013 was the recipient of HIA’s highest honour, the Sir Phillip Lynch Award of Excellence.
Keith was the inaugural Chairman of the HIA Foundation and represented HIA on the Shelter for the Homeless Fund which later became known as the Victorian Homeless Fund.
Keith has spent a lifetime helping people into homes and it is fitting that we recognise his efforts.
