Thanks to Fairhaven Homes and Origin Energy we have a new house for a family to call home in time for Christmas
A Home for the Holidays: Building Hope This Christmas
In a powerful demonstration of community spirit, we’re thrilled to announce the completion of our latest housing project just in time for Christmas. This new home will provide a safe haven for a mother and her children who have been facing homelessness, offering them not just shelter, but a foundation for their future.
Made possible through the outstanding partnership with Fairhaven Homes and vital funding from Origin Energy, this project exemplifies what we can achieve when organizations come together for our community’s most vulnerable members.
“Every family deserves a place to call home, especially during the holiday season,” says Colleen May, Chair of the Victorian Homeless Fund. “This house represents more than four walls and a roof – it’s a fresh start, stability, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.”
The build’s completion before Christmas adds an extra layer of meaning to this achievement. A family who has faced uncertainty will now have a place to create memories, celebrate traditions, and build a stable future together.
Impact in Action This home is equipped with everything a family needs to thrive, from modern amenities to comfortable living spaces. Most importantly, it provides the security and stability that are essential for children’s wellbeing and development.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Fairhaven Homes for their exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to quality, and to Origin Energy for their generous funding that made this project possible. Their commitment to social responsibility sets an inspiring example for corporate engagement in addressing homelessness.
